Kate Cross has described playing a central role in last summer’s double-winning triumph with Lancashire’s women as “so special”. But that wasn’t all for the fast bowler who is closing in on 500 all-format career wickets for all teams.

Her list of teams includes the Northern Superchargers and England, bringing us on to different areas of Cross’s tale from 2025.

The 34-year-old also won The Hundred with the Superchargers last August, claiming 2-23 in the final win over the Southern Brave at Lord’s. She was third on the leading wicket-taker’s list with 15 in that particular competition.

“It was so special to do what we did at Lancs,” she said.
