Lancashire role "too good to turn down" - Farbrace

Farbrace’s appointment to lead the cricket department at Emirates Old Trafford was announced yesterday afternoon, and he will take up post later this year. Last night, he attended Sussex’s end-of-season awards dinner and spoke to the local media, including our CounterPress sister site Hove&Away.

The 59-year-old will have overall responsibility for the men’s and women’s set-ups at Lancashire. Both senior teams have endured disappointing campaigns in 2026, though the women were double winners in 2025.
