Any time you get to represent your country, especially as a Disability touring squad, is a very special moment. So I’m really excited about the next few weeks and our tri-series against India, which started with a victory at Derby yesterday.

Any time you get to represent your country, especially as a Disability touring squad, is a very special moment. So I’m really excited about the next few weeks and our tri-series against India, which started with a victory at Derby yesterday.

As two nations, we have played each other three times now in the Mixed Disability format over the last 12 months. But this is a massive series for us because we’re building up to a home Ashes next summer.

We play seven matches, including the last of the series at Lord’s on August 19.

It was funny actually, before I left my missus said to me, ‘You don’t seem as geed up and excited for this series’. And I could see where she was coming from, but that was because we’ve got used to this kind of thing now. Two home series and one away. We’re getting these opportunities more regularly, and that’s a brilliant thing for Disability cricket.
