Both the Lancashire men’s and women’s second teams have enjoyed success over the last two months, with the latter winning at the Women’s Second XI T20 Finals Day, while the Men go into September with a great chance of reaching the Second XI Championship final.

Finals Day, held on 20 July at Billericay in Essex, saw Lancashire clinch a place in the final by comfortably beating Hampshire by eight wickets in the Eliminator.

A good bowling effort, with two wickets each for Olivia Brinsden (2-29), Hannah Jones (2-25) and Liv Bell (2-13), had Hampshire – 63-6, one ball into the 13th over – on the back foot throughout.
