Lancashire held their annual pre-season media day at Emirates Old Trafford today, with both their men’s and women’s squads combining to have photographs taken and to undertake written and broadcast interviews.

LankyLanky were present, and we spoke to captains Sir James Anderson and Ellie Threlkeld, men’s head coach Steven Croft, women’s stars Kate Cross and Emma Lamb and new men’s second-team coach Dan Salpietro.

We will be publishing a number of interviews in the coming weeks from the list. But, here are some snippets of information and key news lines from the day.

The county are on the lookout for an overseas replacement for injured Australian seamer Mitch Perry. But they say they will not dive into the market just for the sake of an extra body.
