Mark Chilton has hailed the total commitment to the Lancashire cause shown by Chris Green and Marcus Harris in the increasingly short-term world of county overseas signings.
The county’s director of cricket performance has been speaking on the day the Red Rose county announced the early arrival of Australian all-rounder Green for his third season with the county.
Green was due to arrive at Emirates Old Trafford ahead of the Vitality Blast opener against Surrey at the Kia Oval on May 22. That has been the main 32-year-old’s deal with the club since 2024.
But he has also dipped in and out of the other two competitions when available, playing in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup and the Rothesay County Championship.
