Head coach Steven Croft has spoken of his delight at being able to add former team-mate Kabir Ali and serial trophy-winner Matthew Mott to his Lancashire backroom staff for 2026 and beyond.
Ex-England fast bowler Kabir, a Red Rose player in 2013 and 2014, has returned to Emirates Old Trafford as lead bowling coach.
Australian Mott, meanwhile, is a World Cup-winning head coach with Australia’s women and England’s men. The new Manchester Super Giants women’s coach has been appointed by the Red Rose as a T20 coaching consultant on a two-year contract.
A former head coach of Glamorgan, Mott knows Lancashire well having played as an overseas professional for Church, Lowerhouse, Rawtenstall and Colne in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
