Steven Croft is fully expecting exciting teenager Rocky Flintoff to be in the mix for first-team selection at Lancashire this summer after a frustrating, injury-hit 2025.

Flintoff, aged 17, has just signed a new two-year contract at Emirates Old Trafford, running through until the end of 2027 - announced this evening - alongside fellow up and comers Tom Aspinwall and Charlie Barnard.

A strapping all-rounder, Red Rose fans have only seen Rocky’s ability with the bat so far. And it’s clearly considerable.

In two of his first three second-team innings for Lancashire at the start of 2024, he posted red-ball scores of 50 not out and 116.
