Lancashire Thunder’s dream of a home Finals Day in the Vitality County T20 Cup was ended by The Blaze at the Lady Bay ground in Nottingham today.
Defending champions Thunder were beaten by this year’s Vitality Blast winners, and by a decent margin as well. Sixty five runs to be precise. It means captain Kirstie Gordon and co will line up as one of four teams at Emirates Old Trafford this coming Saturday.
The Blaze, inserted, recovered from 0-1, to post 160-8. Kathryn Bryce top-scored with 33, while fast bowler Grace Potts - recently picked by England - finished with three wickets for the Red Rose.
