There has been quite a lot of spotlight on the famous old town of Morecambe from a sporting point of view over the last few years, with the troubles of the football club capturing headline after headline.

But just “five to 10 minutes around the corner” from the Mazuma Stadium sits a cricket club who are very much on the up.

In 2025, they won the double in The Northern Pyramid structure. They were the champions of the Palace Shield Premier Division and also triumphed in the 40-over Meyler Cup, an extremely special added bonus given they hosted the final against Leyland’s second team.
