Dave Halliday is a recognisable face front of house at Emirates Old Trafford. Chances are that if you’re a regular watcher of Lancashire Cricket, you will have a had a conversation with a man who has been working for one of his two sporting loves for the last three decades.
Halliday is a Red Rose tragic, while the same can be said for Manchester United.
He has seen plenty of highs and a few lows as well with Lancashire, while he has exchanged pleasantries and got to know some household names during his time “loitering on reception”, as his social media account puts it.
“The Foo Fighters were here the summer before last,” he said.
