Mark Chilton discusses injuries as Luke Wells signs new deal

Mark Chilton says he is “gutted” for injured trio Ajeet Singh Dale, Arav Shetty and Luke Wells, who are all set for a significant period on the sidelines.
All are either set for surgery, or have had it, on injuries sustained in the Red Rose’s last two Rothesay County Championship matches against Gloucestershire and Durham; Singh Dale hamstring, Shetty hand and Wells shoulder.
Needless to say, really, but it is a significant blow to a county chasing success on all fronts in 2026, but chiefly promotion from Division Two of the Championship.
