Lancashire chief exec Daniel Gidney to retire at end of 2025

Soon-to-be retiring Lancashire chief executive Daniel Gidney has described his 14-year stay at Emirates Old Trafford as “an honour and a privilege”.
The county club announced today that Gidney would be retiring at the end of the year, bringing down the curtain on an eventful period since joining in November 2012.
When Gidney joined the Red Rose, they had just lost Test Match status and were close to insolvency. But they have increased commercial revenue from £9m to, in 2025, £35m.
The £75m redevelopment of Old Trafford has happened on his watch, as has the impressive new-build second home at Farington, which will host first-team cricket this summer in August and September.
