Queens of One-Day Cricket, Ellie Threlkeld Part 2: Skipper made the right choice

What is it they say? Availability is your best ability as a professional athlete, and Lancashire captain Ellie Threlkeld certainly embodies that phrase.

The Red Rose wicketkeeper-batter is the only player in England to have played every game available since the start of the Kia Super League in 2016.

So that’s KSL, regional and county cricket, albeit not including the Hundred.

In all, the 27-year-old has played 135 successive matches wearing the Red Rose - across one-day and T20 cricket. In that time, she has scored 2,195 runs and claimed 115 dismissals behind the stumps.
