You don’t have to talk to Chris Green for long to get a sense of his love for Lancashire and playing his cricket in England.

An all-rounder who is in his third season as an overseas player at Emirates Old Trafford, he is the kind of cricketer who would seem made for nights like this coming Friday against Yorkshire at Headingley.

Roses, big crowd, facing the in-form North Group leaders, the prospect of some abuse from the Western Terrace. Bring it on!

Green, aged 32, has played one match for Australia, has won the Big Bash with Sydney Thunder and has played - and tasted success - in countless competitions around the world. The IPL, the Pakistan Super League, the SA20, the Caribbean Premier League, The Hundred are all on his CV.  He has even played some cricket in Canada.
